My Baby Tree

It is an interesting way of collaboration between technology and environmental conservation.  I strongly recommend you check the following website:

http://id.mybabytree.org/

In case you are not able to check the website directly, I will sum them up here. In the website, there is an animation showing about invitation for planting virtual trees. There are three type of trees you can choose: Shorea BelangeranDyera Costulata or Jelutung, and Alstonia Scholaris or Pulai. Before plantation begin, you'll have to fight with illegal logger, and other supporter of deforestation. Thanks God, you win the battle then you can plant your tree.

The animation ended with choices of information you can get about how to support re-forestation in Borneo/Kalimantan by planting real trees and watch closely the growing process of your tree. You do not have to go to Kalimantan physically, instead you just need to check Google Earth and see your baby tree growing. Isn't that great?

If you're not interested to support, maybe you can show the animation to your children and teach them the spirit of forest conservation. Thank you for let the new generation aware with our own forest...
