This is another reason...

Some quotation from recent news on Pertamina vs House of Representative...

The polemic started when commission-member Effendi Simbolon from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) said that if Karen intended to protect the interests of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Vice President Jusuf Kalla in Pertamina, then she was no different than a satpam (private security guard).

Effendi said that Karen’s limited experience at Pertamina was unlikely to do the company any good.

Things turned uglier when Pertamina Corporate Secretary Toharso wrote to lawmakers on Feb. 13 saying that Pertamina was very disappointed with the way the lawmakers had questioned the capacity of its current president director. He considered their questions extra to the initial agenda, thus breaking the House’s internal rules.

And after reading this statement from one of the House member...

A seemingly triumphant Effendi then closed his statement with a message for Karen, unaware perhaps of the irony of his words: “Bu Karen, please be mature.”

It gives me another reason not to vote this year. I am bored and tired to know that House of Representative being paid a lot only to be arrogant and childish representative of people. Their attitude and track records leave me nothing but respect that being left somewhere in the garbage. So Mr. Effendi and their fellow commission members, why don't you yourself start to be mature?
